Data Backup

Modern synchrotron biological crystallography beamlines can generate huge amounts of data. Most users probably want to take the images home in case there are uncertainties about the indexing or they want to tweak the data processing. There are a variety of methods of getting your data home, including portable disks, tape, optical media, and network. Currently, both portable disks and DVD disks are supported at BL13C1, and the portable disks are strongly recommended.
 
The interfaces of portable disks currently supported at BL13C1:
    FireWire (IEEE 1394b/a) on WinXP, 800Mbps transfer rate. 
    USB2.0/1.1 on WinXP, 480Mbps transfer rate.
 
The formats of DVD disks currently supported at BL13C1:
     CD-R, CD-RW, DVDR, DVDRW
